
Ignacio Aguilar
Ignacio Aguilar is a director of photography and author of the website www.harmonicacinema.com, where he regularly publishes articles and reviews on film photography. He has also written for publications such as “American Cinematographer” and “Camera & Light.”
As a director of photography, he has shot video clips and advertising for clients such as Nivea, BBVA, Adidas, BMW, Unicef, Bankia, Samsung and Banco Santander, among others, in addition to multiple short films with international awards and nominations, among which “8” stands out ( Raúl Cerezo, 2011), “Mr. Dentonn” (Iván Villamel, 2014) or “El Semblante” (Raúl Cerezo, Carlos Moriana, 2022).
He has shot two films as a director of photography, “La Pasajera” (2021) and “Viejos” (2022), both for the director tandem formed by Raúl Cerezo and Fernando González Gómez. Furthermore, he combines his professional work with teaching, teaching numerous subjects in the ECAM Master’s and Diploma.
He is also a professor of the Master and Degree in Photography Direction at ESCAC, and teaches specific workshops at EFTI or TAI, among other centeres. Additionally, he rents high-end film equipment through the company Harmonica Rental, of which he is a founding partner and co-director.
